We built Eqqoh because most personal-growth tools stop at information.

The Spark That Started It All

While my bride was away on vacation with her dad and sister, I stayed home because I coached HS Girls Soccer, and the season had JUST started. Practices had begun, but it was still too soon for games.

On that first Friday night—day two of my wife being gone—Our kids are older now, so they were off working and doing their own thing, and I was on the couch watching tv. Then out of nowhere, an idea hit me like lightning: I should learn something new. "But what?" I wondered.

Then, for some reason, I thought: Coding. Everything after that "fell right into place." The idea came quickly. The name came. The vision came. And then the doubt/reality: I’m not a programmer. I had never built ANYTHING digitally, let alone a website.

But then I felt something. Like a whisper that said, “I got you.”

So I grabbed my laptop and started. I kept going. And by the time my wife came back a week later, Afa was alive, the site was live… and Eqqoh was born.

I’ve always been spiritual—believing in a higher calling. I’ve always believed in nudges. In downloads. In numbers showing up with meaning—if you’re paying attention. You know... Synchronicities.

What I first thought was just a way to learn something new has now grown into something more: a way for all of us to learn, explore, and connect with our inner spark.

They always say, chase your passions. I just followed my intuition (or nudges)—and here we are.

Eqqoh began as a personal spark, but it’s here for you, too. Every person has a story, gifts, and synchronicities waiting to be discovered. I just wanted to share a part of my story with you! My hope is that Eqqoh helps you uncover yours.
